Round two was the key moment of the fight when Jones landed numerous vicious elbows on Evans. As the fight progressed, Jones continued to put rounds in the bank keeping the fight at a distance in an almost all stand up bout in which Evans could never gain any momentum. Final scorecards were 49-46, 49-46, and 50-45.
Question remains now if anyone in the light heavyweight division can beat Jones with his massive 84.5 inch reach while on an impressive win streak. Dan Henderson is his next opponent which is coming off of strong wins against Fedor Emelianenko and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.
